The Journey Never Ends The River Simply Bends

Come enjoy some rounds of collaborative storytelling with a group of your closest friends – and total strangers! Using our prompts inspired by the great Mississippi River that connects St. Cloud University’s campus to Minneapolis, visitors will have the opportunity to improvise a story in Exquisite Corpse form, where one participant picks up the narrative from the last line of the previous storyteller. Performers will be videotaped backlit behind a screen as they tell their story, creating dramatic shadows reminiscent of a tent full of kids telling ghost stories with a flashlight. The edited story strands will be uploaded to YouTube as the night progresses so that you and visitors to the festival can enjoy the fruits of your creative improvisation!

This project is created entirely by undergraduate students from the Art Department at St. Cloud State University, banded together under the moniker United Media Brigade.
